Counselling by e-mail or telephone sessions can be ideal for those who either cannot or do not feel able to visit a counsellor in person. Working with your therapist via e-mail allows you to 'talk' at convenient times to you, when you feel able to sit down and express your thoughts and feelings in words. Unlike face to face Therapy you do not need to wait for appointments to 'talk' with your counsellor, you have an on-going therapeutic narrative.
With e-mail counselling you have a written record of the work you do together, so that you can refer back to it at any time. Counselling by phone allows you to talk with your counsellor at a pre-arranged time, and is often used in conjunction with e-mail counselling.
